Joe Greco - Executive Director EAA Operations

The Elkhorn Athletic Association (EAA) has promoted Joe Greco to Executive Director EAA Program Operations.

Joe joined EAA on July 1, 2021, and served as the Director of Strategic Priorities and Development. Since then, Joe has been involved in advancing the outdoor complex design and construction, further entrenching EAA as a youth sports community leader.

“Joe has outstanding command and understanding of what EAA means to our community and what sets EAA apart from other youth sports organizations,” says Bruce O’Neel, outgoing Executive Director. “Joe has demonstrated the business acumen and conviction for teaching young athletes the importance of balancing athletics, community, and leadership, making him an obvious choice to lead EAA to the next level.”

“I am honored to succeed Bruce O’Neel, as Executive Director of EAA,” shared Joe. “The incredible work by him, the Board, and our staff has created a first-class youth sports organization in our community and I am beyond grateful and blessed to be entrusted with the future of our programming. Bruce has not only been a servant leader and mentor to me, and the entire team. He reminds us daily in his actions that we are doing this #forthekids.
I am committed to upholding the values, vision, and legacy set forth while being deeply aware of the responsibility that comes with this position. I am also eager to collaborate with our members to achieve our shared goals and excited about the possibilities that lie ahead.
My family and I look forward to many more years of service to EAA and the bright future!”
Joe has his Doctoral Degree in Educational Leadership (EdD). Before joining EAA, he was a school administrator in the Omaha Archdiocese and a Social Studies teacher at Millard South High School. He is also a former High School and Collegiate athlete and enjoys spending his free time with his wife, Melissa, and their three children (Bella, Sophia, and Luca) who are all involved in various sports and activities within EAA.

EAA recently announced two other exciting leadership changes that will continue to demonstrate our commitment to our core values and being a youth sports regional leader.

Bruce O’Neel will continue to serve EAA and the community by transitioning to the EAA Board of Directors.

“Joe is succeeding Bruce O’Neel who has been the EAA Executive Director since 2018.  Under his remarkable leadership, EAA has grown from 4 sports to 10 with current registrations of over 8,500 participants plus opening the new 110-acre EAA Outdoor Sports Complex.  Bruce has left a lasting legacy in our community.  We are so thankful for Bruce’s time as Executive Director and grateful that he will continue to serve the EAA community as a Board member.” Jason McDonald, EAA Board Chairman

EAA is a non-profit youth sports organization dedicated to providing a safe, enjoyable, positive learning environment. We serve families with children of all ages and all skill levels from the community and region.
